Project Overview

After experiencing an influx of film grain/VHS stylized videos in my social feeds, I was inspired to make my own. I wanted to use the videos as a way of keeping my editing skills sharp and working with in the parameters of mobile and more short-form formats. I settled on making 60 second 16:9 Reels, with a focus on clip selection, color grading practice and effect adjustment layers. Widescreen format 9:16 versions are made afterward with a mix of clip selection and color changes, making both versions of the same video slightly different across formats.

From time to time a few videos will break the namesake rule and be published at 90 seconds in length.
