“Murders of the Past” by Brian Tutko
Project Overview
Illustration made for my brother’s first mystery book, published in spring of 2019. Originally only published as an electronic publication (e-pub), it received a physical release as a paperback edition about a year later in spring 2020.
The idea was to create intrique by drawing a door left “ajar” during the evening hours playing into a mysterious atmosphere. Creation of the cover was going on simultaneously as the writing of the book, with the doorway/entrance being a brief setting in one of the chapters.
