TOMATO SAUCE JARS - (VIta - Garden)

Project Overview

This project started off as a very cliche and typical tomato sauce jar label. After some initial research and few prototype labels, I ended up finding a really cool and interesting looking shaped jar. Being almost spherical in shape they resembled a tomato. The label was redesigned as vinyl die-cut applied stickers that would wrap around the jar in a pattern. The concept was to have the colors of the lettering match that of the sauce color, so that they would blend in and revel themselves with usage of the sauce.  Concept wise an idea that wasn’t able to be produced was to have some type of free standing rack to display the jars with the idea of “picking tomatoes off the vine”.

The mechanicals are to envision to see how the stickers are arranged on the jar. They can be arranged and cut in various ways as long as the complete word matches up. Applying a direct sheet of stickers wouldn't work as the curve of the glass prevents the words from lining up. A shrink-wrapped label would work best in this scenario due to the jars shape.
