Concept

ELF of NYC is an upcoming web-series created by filmmaker Shannon Callsen about a mystical space being called “Elf” who is transported to Earth with amnesia.

Solution

The character was born from the creator’s street performances during the 2020 pandemic. With the story drawing inspiration from sci-fi/fantasy tropes, tarot cards, and the major arcana. Messages such as believing in yourself and unlocking “one’s true potential” are concepts within the storytelling.

For the logo, I went with a modernized third-eye approach and created custom lettering in which I attached “ears” to. Presentation of the logo in motion have it layered with a CRTV effect to give it a graininess that aligns with the themes and presentation of the series.
